Gaming Club is Canceled for today and tomorrow.

Families,
We appreciate the parents who have reached out with concerns about heating issues in the junior high and want to assure you that we are actively monitoring and addressing the situation.
Yesterday, a surge protector issue affected the heating unit in the junior high, significantly impacting one room—the science classroom. The other junior high classrooms remained in the 60s. To ensure students' comfort, we immediately relocated science instruction to another junior high classroom, allowing learning to continue without disruption while avoiding the colder space.
As of this morning, the science room has reached 62 degrees, and students will begin their day in the alternate classroom until the temperature reaches 68 degrees. We recognize that larger rooms take longer to warm up, and we are closely tracking the progress to ensure a comfortable learning environment. The other classroom spaces continue to register at 68 degrees and some higher.
We want to reassure all families that we would never expect or allow students to remain in classrooms with unacceptably low temperatures. If this had been a widespread issue, we would have taken broader action, including school closure. However, because this was an isolated incident and has been addressed, we were able to make necessary adjustments to maintain a safe and appropriate environment for students. We also want to be transparent in acknowledging that, like in households, there can be some variations in classroom temperatures on very cold days. However, yesterday’s situation was unusual, which is why we took immediate action to relocate students to a more comfortable space.
We appreciate your patience, support, and concern, and we apologize for any confusion or worry this may have caused. Please know that the well-being of our students remains our top priority, and we will continue to take all necessary steps to prevent and promptly address any similar issues in the future.
