The Silver Lake Salem School District is expanding its programming options to include ALL students in grades 5-8 that are residents of the district, regardless of their enrollment status.

Any Silver Lake Salem school district resident in grades 5-8 would be eligible to participate in the same sports/clubs that are offered to Riverview Students at the same grade level.

100 Mile Club

Open to: All Students in grades K-8th.
4K students must be accompanied by a guardian or older sibling.

About: Students enter the gym and walk/run laps in an effort to log 100 miles by the end of the school year.

Open to: Students in 6th-8th grade.

About: We read a book chosen by the book club. As we read we discuss.

About: Students will learn theater terminology, practice, and develop acting skills. We'll explore everything from stage presence and public speaking to character development and storytelling. The program culminates in a final performance for family and friends in May. It's a great opportunity for kids to build confidence, make new friends, and shine in the spotlight!

About: Math 24 Club is a fun and challenging program where students use mental math and problem-solving skills to create the number 24 from four given numbers, using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. It helps improve critical thinking and mathematical fluency in an engaging, game-like format.

National Jr. Honor Society

About: The National Junior Honor Society is a group that operates under the 5 pillars of character, scholarship, leadership, service, and citizenship. It is for the top academic students who are also are required to complete 25 hours of community service a year.

About: Yearbook is a creative and collaborative group for 7th and 8th graders who are passionate about capturing memories. Students work together to design, edit, and produce the school yearbook, gaining hands-on experience in photography, writing, and graphic design. It's a fun way to develop new skills, showcase your creativity, and contribute to something the whole school will cherish.
