Silver Lake School District uses the Wisconsin Education Career Access Network (WECAN) website for advertising and accepting applications for Certified Staff Job vacancies.  Establishing an application on the WECAN site is free and enables candidates to monitor vacancies from participating districts across the state.

Long-Term Substitute : K–6 General Music & 5–8 Band

Riverview is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic long-term substitute to teach K–6 General Music and 5–8 Grade Band. This position includes leading daily instruction, preparing students for performances, and coordinating several key music events throughout the assignment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching general music for grades K–6

  • Directing 5th–8th grade band rehearsals, and small group lessons 

  • Preparing students for and attending District Honors Band, Solo & Ensemble Festival, and our District-wide  Band Fest combined schools concert

  • Collaborating with staff, maintaining communication with families, and supporting a positive classroom environment

  • Managing concert preparation, logistics, and student participation

Hours: 8 hours per day
Salary:  $175 a day
Start Date:  Jan. 6 - March 6
