The Silver Lake-Salem Jt 1 School District (Riverview School) is seeking a resident to fill a vacancy on the school board after the resignation of a board member. Amy Regnier will be announcing her resignation as a member of the Board of Education and it will be accepted at a September 30, 2025 special board meeting. Her resignation will be effective immediately.
The board is seeking interested candidates that would represent the Silver Lake-Salem Jt 1 school district area to complete the term which will expire in April 2026. Citizens who live in the Silver Lake-Salem Jt. #1 School District and may be interested in filling the board seat are asked to submit a letter of interest to the name and address below by no later than Sunday, Sept 28, 2025 at noon. In the letter of interest, candidates are asked to share why they are interested in serving on the Board. Candidates who file a letter of interest will be contacted by the district. The board will interview candidates on Sept 30, 2025 at 6:00 PM during a special board meeting and make a selection following those interviews. All candidates who submit a letter of interest should be present at the special board meeting and prepare a no more than 3 minute presentation outlining:
Why you should be considered for a board seat
How you view your role as a school board member
