New Playgrounds!

TWO new playgrounds! Students and staff designed our new two spaces for students! Besides new fencing, equipment, and floors, the programs are inclusive for ALL students! A big thank you to the community for investing in our children!

Tentative Timeline of Improvements

Riverview is building for the future! Summer referendum projects include new boilers,  cafeteria ductwork, new phone and PA system and safety upgrades like fencing and  secure access points. These changes create a more modern, secure, and welcoming environment for our students. Click the arrows below to see some pictures!

  • Enhancing school security, the front entrance now has a security camera to talk with visitors (similar to a ring doorbell) before being granted entry.

  • Work to update air handling unit ductwork is scheduled for this summer.

  • To increase perimeter safety, new chain link fencing was installed in early August.

  • Riverview now has two, new, high-efficiency boilers. No more cold classrooms!

  • A new voice-over-IP phone system will modernize internal communication and is now fully functional.  In addition to new phones, and a new PA system, voicemails will also be sent to the recipients email.

  • This alert system is designed to give staff the ability to alert authorities and initiate an emergency lockdown from anywhere in the building by using a crisis badge. This system should be working for the start of the school year.

  • New gymnasium outside doors have been installed.

  • Replace the old "tube" florescent lights with LED lights, providing better illumination and energy efficiency.

  • A phased installation is underway to better control the heating system, rooftop unit, and select areas. Full replacement of remaining RTUs and controls will be completed in summer 2026

  • New furniture for the classroom, library, and commons area will be selected.

  • New equiptment, including ground covering, to be selected.

  • Middle School Science Lab will be updated, with old equiptment replaced, and new modern equiptment added.

  • New Main Office/Entry ensuring better flow, access, and safety.
