Riverview School’s Second Annual Multicultural Fair

Friday, April 19, 2013

5:30-7:30 p.m.

Explore different cultures from around the world!  Students in 4K through eighth grade have been learning about different cultures and preparing displays to share at our Second Annual Multicultural Fair.  The Scholastic Book Fair will also be taking place at the same time.  Be sure to take advantage of their phenomenal deal—buy one, get one free!

It’s not too late to let us know if you would like to donate food or volunteer!  Email Ms. Petruska at jpetruska@riverview.k12.wi.us. Each family that sends in a sampling of food will receive 10 free tickets.  All proceeds will benefit the PTO. 

Admission is free!  Tickets will be on sale for only 50 cents each.  They can be used for:

·         Food samples

·         Drinks

·         Raffle items

·         Virtual postcards

·         Henna tattoos

 

What’s new in 2013?

·         New and Improved layout

·         More space for dining

·         A raffle

·         Sweet Shop

·         Virtual trip photo fun

·         Scavenger hunt with either QR codes or Paper/pencil

·         Henna tattoos

We have many raffle items from local businesses including 45 Diner, Promise Land Restaurant, Heidi’s Bakery, The Marina, Salon Salon, Cabana Tan, Lotus Light Bodycare, Mary Kay, Starbucks, Action Territory, Colony House, Dairy Queen, 75th Street Inn, Starbucks, Sparti’s, Woodman’s, and Milwaukee Public Museum.  We will also be raffling many baskets from classrooms and staff members.  

Restaurants including Noodle’s ‘n’ Company, Binante’s Taste of Italy, Olive Garden, Szechwan Palace, Texas Roadhouse, Tuscan Tavern and Grill, Zak’s Raks, Luisa’s, and La Cabana are donating food for our sampling station.
