Dear Riverview Families

Riverview School will be undergoing major renovation projects during the summer of 2015. As part of the planning process, the school board and administration have discussed the possibility of ending the 2014-15 school year early, or beginning the 2015-16 school year late, to allow time for the summer construction projects to be completed for the start of the 2015-2016 school year.

School districts in Wisconsin are required to meet hours of instruction thresholds each school year. With an early end to the school year in 2014-15, Riverview would be able to meet these thresholds through the addition of school days created by the elimination of early release days on February 26 and May 22, and in-service days on January 26 and February 16. Additional classroom time for our 4K students would also need to be added during the second half of the school year.

In an effort to make a more informed decision, we are reaching out to families, community, and staff so that we can make the best decision possible. Please provide us with your input by clicking on the link below. This link will take you to a brief survey which will take a minute or two to complete.

We thank you in advance for your continued support of Riverview School and look forward to a continued successful partnership between the school and community.

Sincerely,

Jon S. Schleusner

District Administrator
